Crap. Not prepared for this one. Katarina blushed slightly as she answered, "Erm... I worked on a ship when I was ten and then I worked in various places, for instance the Bakery in Michigan."

Kilela was quite astonished. "On a ship at the age of ten. . Heh. Must've been pretty strong. Not only do those things smell, but they often include heavy labor." he said, looking at Katarina, interested in her history. And now came a completely random question.
Swallowing the lump in his throat, Kilela began to speak. "Er. . .you wouldn't mind being uh...friends and stuff. Would you? I mean, like, non lovey-dovey. Don't want to rush into anything like that." he said, placing his hand behind his head, smiling nervously. He had hoped he didn't ask at the wrong time, or asked a question that she didn't want to answer.
For Kilela to be 'so intelligent' and such a 'chick magnet', the guy couldn't tell you the first thing on human [or female for that matter] emotions.

Kat blinked, surprised, yet, happy nonetheless. "Of course!" she finally said, smiling exitedly. This is a step. I actually have a friend that isn't a girl. Awesome. She then smirked and said, "That wasn't the next question for the interveiw, right?"

"Technically, there was no interview." Kilela said, laughing. His heart had stopped running and had slowed down now that he was assured the friendship of someone other than his sister in this village.
However, he was feeling quite bad for making it all up just to chat with Kat. "You wanna check out the ocean next time?" he asked, eyes showing anticipation. "I'll provide everything since I'm a horrible joker." he said, grinning broadly.

((In the Morning))
Kat yawned, stretching her arms above her head before waking up. She sat up immedietly, remembering last night. Oh joy... she thought sarcastically. I get to pick between two guys. Aren't I lucky? She sighed unhappily and pulled her knees close to her face; resting her chin on her knees. How am I supposed to decide this? Zac is really nice and I really like Kilela...

Leera went to the inn, staring up at the windows. She tried the door. D***.... locked. Ok how'm I gonna do this...? ((bad english lol)) What if she's asleep? Yet another brillaint plan, Leera. She looked up at the windows again. She leapt up the fimilar tree that helped her get into the window and onto the roof countless times. She leaned over and tapped the window, hoping not to scare or wake her if she was asleep.

Kat jerked her head, painfully twisting her neck. What was that? she thought as she walked catiously to the window. When she saw it was Leera she breathed a sigh of releif. Thankfully its not a creepy stalker, she thought with a laugh. With some difficultly, she opened the window.

Leera smiled apologetically. "Sorry about that... it's just... wow I really could've wait until later to do this huh?" Leera received a look that said 'what the hell are you talking about?!' Leera felt like a total lesbo and a freak. She half-frowned and quickly went on. "I- sorry... I'm leaving today or tomorrow sometime and don't really know when... so... just... bye..." she began to move out the window, feeling really stupid.

Katarina sucked in her breath. Leera's leaving? Why? She spoke thses thoughts aloud. "Why are you leaving?" she questioned. "And... and when will you be back?"

Leera stopped. Good... I thought she thought I was some kind of freaky stalker. "I'm leaving cuz... I- well I came here to say bye and I did just that... and..." God... will I be back? She frowned. "and I don't know when I'll be back. I-I'm not really crazy about this town... except that house on the mountain... but... I've never had a house. It's-" She looked down, unsure. "It's the first house i've been in. I don't want to leave it but... Katarina you've been really nice to me." Not sure why, I babble like an idiot. "But there's no point in me staying here."

Katarina was quiet, taking it all in. She might not come back... Kat bit her lip, still slightly shocked. Finally she said, "O-okay. I'll..." she gulped. "...I'll miss you. You were kind to me, too. You were the first one whom I told my story to... and I'll miss you." Her eyes were teary. "You have to come back, okay?" She looked down. Great job, Kat, you've gone all emotional. She porbably thinks you're bi or something.

Leera smiled while Kat's head was down. She quickly put on an emotionless expression. "I'll..." she struggled with the smile. God who fricken cares!? Two years ago... The smile lost as all happiness drained from her body. "I can't promise you that." She said, her voice growing tight. "I don't like staying in one place... I've never stayed in the same place since... well nevermind. But... thanks Kat." She put on a half smile and glanced down. This is by far the weirdest conversation i've ever had with anyone.

Thanks for what? she wondered, but said nothing. "Well," she said quietly, "I guess you're right." She looked up. "But consider coming back, okay? Or at least visiting. The town will be so much more boring." She took a deep breath.

Leera bit her lip. I've never been to the same place twice even! Am I a total weirdo? She then sighed and looked up at her. "I can't promise that either Kat. If I could I-..." She didn't want to tell her. I wouldn't have said good-bye. Kat looked confused and a little sad yet... optimistic. "I'll try Katarina." She half frowned. "I might see you again today though so I'm not sure if this one's permanent but... bye." She smiled out of the corner of her mouth yet her eyes remained cold and unsure.
